The play brings together Vita, the author of this play, her mother, her best friend, and her Russian friend to investigate the history of Vita's Latvian ancestors from Latgale. Together, they explore themes such as complicated family histories during the Soviet Union, belonging, and identity. After the performance, guests are invited to eat soup and pies made by Vita's mum.
